These terms are an agreement between you and Abas Haşimoğlu (Başakşehir Çam ve Sakura Şehir Hastanesi, Başakşehir Mah. Şehir Hastanesi Cad. No: 2L, Başakşehir / İstanbul, Türkiye) covering your use of the Lotang app and this website. By downloading or using Lotang, you accept them.
1. The End User License Agreement
Your licence to use the Lotang app is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA):

The terms below are additional, Lotang-specific terms that supplement it. On Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply in the same role.
2. What Lotang is, and is not
Lotang is an educational wellness companion inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine. It offers reflections on patterns traditionally associated with the appearance of the tongue and with self-reported symptoms.
Lotang is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in Lotang. If your symptoms are urgent or serious, contact a qualified clinician or your local emergency service.
Food and herbal suggestions are traditional and educational. Consult a qualified herbalist or doctor before taking any herb or supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
3. Subscriptions
Lotang is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. Two paths are available:

- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before purchase and may vary by region; the figures above are US App Store prices.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your device's account settings: Settings → Account & subscription → Manage subscription in Lotang, or directly at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions (iOS) or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions (Android).
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Founder Member status is a recognition badge granted to the first 100 yearly members. It carries no additional purchase, refund or monetary value.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms; we cannot issue them directly. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Your account
You may use Lotang anonymously. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for anything done through your account. Do not add a profile for another person, or their photograph, without their agreement, and never for someone who cannot consent, except as their parent or legal guardian.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Lotang only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, and not to resell it, reverse engineer it, scrape it, disrupt it, attempt to defeat its usage limits, or use it to provide clinical services to others.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photographs and information you provide. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service for you: to compute your reading and store the results in your account. As described in our Privacy Policy, your tongue photographs are analysed on your device and are not uploaded.
7. Our content
The readings, letters, texts, engine, design and brand are owned by Abas Haşimoğlu and protected by copyright. You may share individual readings as the app composes them; you may not republish the app's content as your own.
8. Availability and changes
We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. If we discontinue a paid feature during a paid period, you may contact us about a pro-rata remedy through the store that sold you the subscription.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Lotang is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that readings are accurate, complete or suitable for any health decision.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Abas Haşimoğlu and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on the app's educational content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Termination
You may stop using Lotang at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence are unaffected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
